E Glass Twisted Yarns (Plied Yarns)

- Strength & Durability: Stronger than singles because the fibres are more securely bound together.
- Appearance: Simple structure with a relatively even surface.

E Glass Cabled Yarns
- Construction: Made by twisting together multiple twisted yarns (plies) rather than singles.
- Process: First, singles are twisted into plied yarns, and then these plied yarns are twisted together again, often in the opposite direction of the initial twist.
- Texture: More defined texture with a cord-like structure.
- Strength & Durability: Even stronger than twisted yarns due to the additional twist and layering.
- Appearance: More pronounced texture and stitch definition; often resembles cables or cords.
- Examples: 4-ply cabled yarn might involve two 2-ply yarns twisted together.
